For sugarbeet I'm using a mod called FS22_AM_Sugarbeet_crusher. It is a modified stone crusher. I made a copy for personal use which crushes potatoes instead of sugarbeet.

But,-- I don't think raw potato in any form is healthy feed. Normally you would cook waste potatoes to break down the starch before using it for pig feed. I think we had potatoe cookers in FS19, or was it FS17?

So I don't understand why MaisePlus introduces raw potato cuts.

My experience with cattle is only from what I watch on YouTube but I have seen Tom Pemberton adding whole raw potatoes into the feed mixer.

I see. Thank you for enlightening me, Eische. My dad had only pigs, and surplus potatoes were always cooked if fed to the pigs.

Thanks Norfolk farmer. This agrees with Eische's comment. I love Tom Pemberton's channel even if I don't understand a word of what his dad says. I must have missed that with the potatoes. I've never seen them put other than silage into the feed mixer. Often wondered if that was all.

Yeah, that's the difference. For ruminant animals raw potatoes are not a problem to digest.

I am using this mod as I only add to the mixer as needed and the basegame version is only for a frontloader this one includes telehandler.

Oh thank you, that looks like a better suited mod than the one I'm using. You would probably not want to cut more than just what you need for one feed. I expect cut beets would become all dark if you tried to store them for days, just like an uneaten apple.
