What To Do If A Game Or Screen Doesn’t Show On Discord
From time to time, Discord won’t detect game activity on voice channels.
That’s because the game or app is not properly set up for Discord streams.
So you’ll have to set up an app or game manually.
Add A Game To Discord
To add a game, simply:
- Step 1: Tap the gear icon below the screen share icon.
- Step 2: Go to activity status, previously game activity.
- Step 3: Tap “Add it!”
Once you are done, go to any of Discord’s voice channels and select screen share.
This usually fixes all audio and video issues a stream could have.
Add Another Screen To Discord
The process is the same as described above.
Amongst the things you can add are:
- Other programs like Adobe apps.
- Browser windows.
- Almost anything other users would love to watch.
Try launching the stream after that.
How To Give Others Permission To Do Live Streams
Only a server owner can give you permission to start a streaming session.
To do so, he’ll need to go into Server settings > Roles > Voice permissions > Enable video.
This will allow other users to stream on text and voice chats.
From the server settings, you can attempt to recoverdeleted messages as well.
Note: If you banned someone from a voice channel or server, they won’t be able to begin streaming.
