Let’s dive right in and uncover the best beaches Esperance has to offer, from Lucky Bay to Hellfire Bay and many more!
LUCKY BAY
Lucky Bay is the most popular Esperance beach Australia, located in Cape Le Grand National Park.
In fact, Lucky Bay is often the reason why people visit Esperance, just to come and experience this stunning beach for its electric blue waters, squeaky white sands, and the amazing sight of the Grey Kangaroos that come down onto the beach to play.
It’s very rare you’ll ever get to be this close to a Kangaroo, let alone on the beach, so this is definitely not to be missed.
The roos like to come out of the bushes and onto the shoreline in the early morning and later on in the afternoon, so be sure to visit around these times.
You can also drive your vehicle right down onto the beach and hang out for the day with your friends and family.
Go for a dip in the cool waters, or stroll along the water’s edge to the end of the bay and explore the rocky outcrops. There is something here for everyone!

Observatory Beach offers a platform from which you can enjoy a fantastic view of the beaches across the bay.

If you’re feeling adventurous, do some rock-hopping in search of the best sunset spot.
NINE MILE BEACH
Nine Mile Beach extends from Observatory Point towards the northwest for 1.3km.
In the east, the beach is surrounded by reefs and granite rocks, and due to the impact of breaking waves against the rocks and reefs, wide waves are created making it perfect for surfing.
On the western part of the beach, the water conditions are calm, especially at low tide, which makes it a good place to swim and perhaps do some snorkeling around reefs.
Nine Mile Beach offers the best of both worlds, whether you’re looking for some adventure or just want a relaxing day at the beach.

There are three main ways of getting to Esperance.
BY CAR
The first would be to drive yourself if you have your own vehicle.
As I mentioned above, it’s about a 7.5-hour drive from Perth to Esperance and will take you the best part of an entire day to get here.
Road-tripping is always my favorite way to get around and proves to be the perfect way to soak up more of the country.

Although a little less favorable being that you have to share the bus and release some of that freedom to the driver, taking the coach can also be a great way to get here.
The Perth to Esperance bus takes around 8 hours with TransWA’s luxury coaches, arriving in Esperance daily.

The quickest and most straightforward way to get to Esperance would be to fly.

BEST TIME TO VISIT ESPERANCE
In all honesty, there is not a bad time to visit Esperance.
With a whole range of different things to see and do, both inside and outdoors, there is something for everyone, all year round.
However, to ensure you get to make the most of your time in Esperance Australia and so you get to do the majority of the beaches in Esperance, I would definitely suggest visiting in the spring/summer months.
In doing so, you’ll almost guarantee yourself an incredible trip, with a jam-packed itinerary and you’ll be sure to leave with a banging tan.
Please note that if you’re visiting in the spring/summer, this is most likely the busier months and more people will be around.
So each activity/destination you go to, I would advise visiting early in the morning to beat the crowds.
