ETA 7/2010: Most of these gripes aren't exactly base breaking for me, but they do build up to a larger feeling of "Well... that happened" towards this game, its events, and its characters. Take it with a grain of salt.

There hasn't been a good Silent Hill game since SH 4. This looks like it may be it... And its a fan made mod. I'll have to try it.
I started playing this, and it is pretty good. The music, ambiance, design and looks of the game are all very reminiscent of the first Silent Hill. Voice acting is pretty good, certainly better then in the first game anyway. The puzzles I encountered are all pretty easy, and that's my only concern about it at the moment. I hope they get tougher as the game progresses, as long as they don't test my knowledge of Shakespeare in order to progress, as they do in Silent Hill 3. That was kinda bulshit...
